Prep Your Home for Winter with Our Fall Maintenance Checklist
With fall in full swing, it's time to prepare your home to withstand winter weather before it’s too late! Follow our checklist for seasonal maintenance tips:
Clean your gutters and downspouts; especially after a massive leaf fall
Seal up air leaks around your windows and doors
Inspect your roof; especially any valleys that may accumulate leaves
Winterize your outdoor hose bibs and/or lawn irrigation system
Get your HVAC serviced and change your filters
Have your chimney swept (including gas fireplaces - make sure the gas line is checked)
Review your safety systems such as smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, natural gas detectors and/or fire extinguisher
Remove the leaves from your lawn!
